The editor-in-chief of Vogue, Anna Wintour, hosted the much-anticipated fundraiser to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute. A-list celebrities like Zendaya, Jennifer Lopez, Chris Hemsworth, and Bad Bunny served as its co-chairs. Met Gala 2024 was held on May 6 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, with the theme ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,’ mirroring the upcoming Costume Institute exhibit. The dress code for the night was A Garden in Time and some celebs didn’t disappoint.
From bold avant-garde statements to timeless elegance, attendees matched the theme in innovative ways, sparking conversations and setting trends. With the fashion world’s elite gathering under one roof, all eyes were on the red carpet as celebrities and designers showcased their interpretations of the theme.

Zendaya
Does this queen ever gets tired of being the only one carrying the entire show? WE DON’T THINK SO! The co chair of Met has served everyone with her most stunning look ever. She is wearing custom Margiela by John Galliano, inspired by Christian Dior haute couture spring 1999 collection that he previously designed for.
And if you think this Diva stopped there, well guess what she is here to SERVE! Zendaya walked the carpet in her second costume that blew everyone’s minds away. She wore Givenchy by Galliano couture and Oh that head piece is from Philip Treacy.
Gigi Hadid
As per usual, this supermodel slayed the theme. Not only did she bring justice to the theme of Met this year but also ATE. Gigi is wearing an ivory gown by Thom Browne. She looks like a garden of flowers watered with love.
Tyla
Pretty girl from Jo’burg??? Yes, and we are here for it. Tyla wears form fitting sand Balmain outfit for her first met and it is something we can’t move on from.
Lana Del Ray
Mother arrived with the most enthralling look ever and people DIED. This Summer there’s no sadness because Lana has shook the carpet in her Alexander McQueen outfit and we are here for it.
Mona Patel
Mona’s outfit went viral as soon as she graced the carpet with most fascinating gown ever. She stole the show with those delicate butterflies on her sleeve. Patel wore Iris Van Herpen creation and was styled by Law Roach for her Met debut.
Emma Chamberlain
Emma has yet again made heads with her Gothic look. The Youtuber looked jaw dropping in her adorned Jean Paul Gaultier.
Alia Bhatt
Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt walked the carpet the second time in a row and Boy did she kill people with her look. Alia chose to wear Indian designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Her powder blue saree looked beautiful and did justice to the theme. The hair, makeup as well as her accessories was on point. 10 on 10 for looking like a princess.
Sydney Sweeney
With those brunette short hair look, the Euphoria actress looked unrecognisable. Her pastel blue gown looked magical as she walked the Met carpet. She has proved time and again that she is a Miu Miu girl. And, she wore Miu Miu here as well!
Nicole Kidman
Gorgeous Nicole looked breath takingly lovely holding hands with Keith Urban. The Australian actress, 56, looked dazzling in a custom-made Balenciaga reinterpretation of a 1950s Cristóbal Balenciaga Couture evening gown.
Ariana Grande
Ariana did fairly well at Met this year with her powder blue gown that made her look like a Cinderella. God is surely a woman. Ariana wore custom loewe by Jonathan Anderson.
Elle Fanning
This glass gown princess looked ethereal as she walked the carpet in her Balmain gown. The sculptured flowers on her sleeve made the gown seem even more perfect. Elle ate and left no crumbs.
Lewis Hamilton
Surprise Surprise! Wake up Mercedes fans, our king has arrived. Hamilton made heads turn as he paid tribute to John Ystumllym wearing Burberry. The embroidered periwinkles on his coat gave him God Complex personality.
Although we expected Blake Lively, Anne Hathaway and Bella Hadid to walk the carpet too, the odds were against us. The Gala was filled with flowers and beauties all decked up and making way to the event.
